You’re Doing it Right – A Workshop for Women with Jean Fraser

When you try to make a change and it doesn’t go smoothly do you quickly fall into negative self talk?

Does this make you feel stuck and discouraged?

Does it sound something like this?

I am a terrible procrastinator – I can’t do this!

What’s wrong with me – everyone else seems to ‘have it all together’?

I want this new healthy habit in my life, why is it so hard to do?

Guess what? You are completely normal.

Our brains are wired to notice what’s wrong. This can be useful, but sadly, it quickly becomes our default mode, and we have a hard time noticing what’s right. It doesn’t have to be this way! I’ve got a simple practice to share with you that makes setting a goal or intention—and following through!—creative, effective, and fun.

“My beloved child, break your heart no longer.
Each time you judge yourself, you break your own heart.
You stop feeding on the love, which is the wellspring of your vitality.

The time has come. Your time. To live.
To celebrate, and to see the goodness that you are…
Do not fight the dark. Just turn on the light.
Let go, and breathe into the goodness that you are.” -Swami Kripalu
